YMA attracts creative students who use artistic expression as a means of interacting with the world around them. This is a safe space where students are surrounded by artists, educators and opportunities of the highest caliber. With a built-in leadership training program and non-stop inspiration, YMA is a truly life-changing experience.
Faculty & Counselors
Our faculty are some of the country’s top musicians, actors, dancers, and artists. Our counselors are pretty talented too and were all former YMA campers! At YMA, you’re learning from the best.

Concerto & Arias
(Session 1 Only) Let your talents shine! Through our Concerto & Aria competition, selected musicians will have the opportunity to perform a featured solo with the the YMA orchestra.
Classes
Each program area at YMA has its own schedule and curriculum. Students sign up for one program area per session, during which they build close friendships with the staff and students in that area. They also get to know the rest of the camp students and staff at meals, during free time before and after dinner, and in their connections and elective classes.
Room & Board
YMA is a residential camp, meaning all students stay in campus housing for the duration of the two weeks. Tuition includes room and board. Meals are served in Willamette University’s cafeteria, which sits along the Mill Stream that runs through campus, and include a delicious variety of selections for each meal (including options for vegetarians, vegans and those with food sensitivities).
